  • ok apparently the "underworld" statement is a reference to the play that they're doing in the episode, but: 1: I'm an idiot and obviously didn't know that 2: Still a very dumb thing to say so I stand by my sketch 3: Thank you for teaching me something new!

  • I believe the part around turning around in the underworld is a surprisingly clever reference for this game, pointing toward the myth of Orpheus. Orpheus could take his wife Eurydice back to the world of the living as long as he didn't turn around to look at her while leaving. When he reached the normal world he looked around but did so too soon. So he lost his wife. As I said, this reference is far too sophisticated for this game XD

  • The myth of Orpheus and Euridice is what they're performing. The "turn around to check you out" is referencing the end of the myth where Orpheus turns around to see if Euridice is still behind him. But by looking, he broke the bet with Hades and sentenced Euridice to be trapped in the underworld.

  • The underworld thing was a reference to the play they were putting on. Orpheus? Went to the underworld to rescue the soul of his wife, and would be allowed to take her back to the living world as long as he didn't look back. He looked back and they were both doomed.

  • The meaning of the confusing part where she was talking about the underworld is a reference to Orpheus in the Underworld. Its an opera and a Greek myth. Basically Orpheus and Euridyce are in love but she dies and gets sent to the Underworld. He goes to save her and tells such a compelling story that the Gods decide that she can leave and come back to Earth if he walks straight out of the underworld and doesn't look back. At the last second, he turns around and she's lost to the underworld forever. In the amazing film Portrait of a Lady on Fire, it's explained as Orpheus chose the poets ending rather than the lovers. He wanted the memory of the perfect love, he didn't want the idea of Euridyce to be sullied by the sorrows of life. It's up to you to determine whether that's the right choice. I

  • The turning around in the underworld is a reference to Greek Mythology, more specifically the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. Eurydice died and Orpheus missed her a lot so he went to the underworld to get her back. He could take her back to the real world as long as he didnt turn around. He didnt hear her following him so he did turn around and everybody was sad

  • Funfact: the "leaving the underworld" thing is a reference to Greek mythology, where orpheus wanted to bring his dead wife back from the underworld. He's allowed to do so under the condition that on their way out he's not allowed to call her name or turn around. He did and his wife had to stay in the underworld.
